A large part of Frago took place during an in-camp reservist military training of an infantry unit, during moments of waiting. To emphasise the notion of waiting, the stage was deliberately kept to it’s bare minimum. Only the main performance space marked out with a camo border to bring out the feeling of confinement, and three panels designed in pseudo-Chinese painting styles depicting hilly terrains with military tanks hung directly above the performance space to suggest the “Chineseness” of this infantry unit (majority of this infantry unit’s personnel were Chinese).
