The set for this version of The Wedding Singer was conceived based on two major constraints: budgetary and spatial (limited space in the wings and backstage for storage of sets and props). As such, the set was designed as a highly stylised impression of the 1980s world of disco-pop, with tall metallic lighting trusses and electric blue lines on the floor and band stand. With the change in scenes, mobile wagons of different sizes and minimal props are used to accentuate the atmosphere, making scene transitions fluid and seamless.
