Into the Abyss is a residency dance showcase by *SCAPE’s 2021 residents. Although staged in *SCAPE The Ground Theatre, the performance was brought down from the proscenium onto the ground level, with audience sitting on three sides of the performance space.
As there was no budget to rig lighting trusses above the performance area, dancers had to lit innovatively with floor lights installed at the four corners of the performance area, coupled with existing but limited moving washes and spots right above the performance space for ambience effect.
